Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

CalHue is a private, local-first daily journal. We built it so your entries stay yours. This policy explains what that means.

Your data stays on your device

Everything you log in CalHue — your moods, notes, RA flare and period tracking, custom trackers, photos, and settings — is stored locally on your device. It is not uploaded to us or to any server, and we cannot see it.

We don't collect anything

CalHue has no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers. We do not collect personal information, we do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not sell or share your data with anyone. There is no account required to use the app.

Notifications

If you turn on the daily reminder, CalHue schedules a local notification on your device. This happens entirely on-device and involves no server.

You control your data

You can export your data at any time from Settings, and you can delete it by removing your entries or uninstalling the app. Because your data lives only on your device, deleting the app deletes the data.

Optional cloud sync (future)

A future version may offer an optional account so you can sync across your own devices. If you choose to create one, only the data needed to sync is stored, tied to your account, and never sold or used for advertising. This policy will be updated before any such feature ships, and sync will always be optional.

Children

CalHue is not directed to children under 13.
